Creating a Single Ad on Without Code Using the Snippet

This recipe shows you how to place an ad on a Without Code (WOCode) site using AdPlugg. This recipe just adds a single ad but you can use it to add any number of ads by combining it with other recipes, etc. The recipe uses the AdPlugg Ad Snippet - which will work on any site but this recipe has instructions that are specific to a Without Code site.

You can see a demo of what the end result of this recipe looks like on the AdPlugg Without Code example site here.

Create An Ad

First, we need to create an AdPlugg Ad.

  1. From within your AdPlugg account, create an Ad and upload an ad image (see the Ad Help Page).

Add the AdPlugg JavaScript SDK to Your Without Code Site

Next we are going to add the AdPlugg JavaScript SDK to your Without Code site.  This allows you to place and run AdPlugg ads on your site.

  1. From inside the WOCode admin, go to Settings > Header HTML.
  2. From within your account at adplugg.com, click "Download" and then "Snippet".
  3. Click the "Get The Snippet" button.
  4. Copy the AdPlugg SDK and paste it into the Header HTML field back in the WOCode admin.
  5. Click the "Save" button.

Add an AdPlugg Ad Tag

Now we are going to add an AdPlugg ad tag to one of your WOCode pages. We are going to do it using WOCode's HTML widget.

  1. From inside the WOCode admin, go to the page where you want the ad to appear.
  2. In the left menu, press Widgets.
  3. Drag the HTML widget to where you want the ad to appear.
  4. Go back to AdPlugg and copy the Ad Tag part of the snippet to your clipboard.
  5. Paste the Ad Tag into the HTML widget box in WoCode and press the Update button.
  6. Refresh the page and the ad should show within the editor.
  7. When you have everything how you want it, publish your changes.

Your ad should now start serving into the Ad Tag on your Without Code site!

Adding More Ads!

You can add AdPlugg ad tags anywhere in Without Code that Widgets are allowed using the technique described above. Because Without Code is so flexible, this includes just about anywhere. Here are some possible spots to give you some ideas:

  • Header
  • Footer
  • Pages
  • Blog Posts
  • Etcetera

You can also use AdPlugg Zones to serve different (or the same) ads into these various areas.
