Mr. Pickles the AdPlugg Pug

Have 3 instances of adplugg within a page where I select 1 of up to 25 ads at each placement

I am getting duplicate ads on the page. I was expecting that I would get 3 different ads because you wouldn't put duplicates on the same page.

Is there something I need to do different to prevent the duplicates?

Here is the website (under construction)

AdPlugg renders ads as fast as possible and independent of the rest of the page. Because of this, ads in your footer have no knowledge of what ads are in your header. This is because the two Zones are being filled independently. The filling of the footer zone might be started/finished after, before or at the exact same time as the filling of the header zone. Because of this, we aren't able to stop the same ad from appearing twice on the page.

We could possibly modify this behavior for you but we would have to either wait to start filling the footer until after the header completely finishes or we would have to fill them both at the same time. If we filled them both at the same time, the process wouldn't be able to start until the entire page (other than the ads) finished rendering. This would be the only way that we could know that there aren't more ads still to come on the page. If this is something that you are interested in, please contact us.

Having the same ad appear multiple times on a page is usually considered okay and advertisers often appreciate it. That being said, if it is not desired, you can decrease the likelyhood of it happening by increasing the number of ads in rotation or by targeting different ads to different zones.
